Care when wet

We recommend

Take care in putting on and taking off your glove. Don't stretch the material, but rather work your fingers into the glove a little at a time.

After each play, air-dry the glove by hanging it from a G3 Golf Glove Guard, with each finger extended.

Avoid rolling or clumping the glove. It should never be stored in your golf bag, especially if there is any moisture in it.

Never wash the glove in detergent or place it in a clothes dryer. The extreme heat will shrink the leather and damage it.

If your glove begins to tear, replace it, but also consult with a pro to see if the wear is normal or if it is the result of the way you hold the club. This is especially true if the palm becomes worn.

Most leather gloves are washable

For best results:

1. Produce a good lather in lukewarm water using mild detergent or soap flakes.

2. Immerse the gloves and wash gently on your hands.

3. Remove gloves and rinse thoroughly in clean water.

4. Squeeze out all excess water from the fingers downwards and pull gently into shape.

5. Hang to dry, on a G³ away from direct sunlight or heat.

6. White gloves should not be washed with colored articles. Colored gloves may be washed with articles of a similar color provided the above instructions are followed.

7. For best results wash gloves before they become too soiled!

Spots and Spills: Blot excess liquid immediately with a clean absorbent cloth or sponge. If necessary, use clear, lukewarm water and gently wipe the spill. Dry with a clean towel and allow to air dry.

Stubborn Spots and Stains: Use a mild solution of Ivory soap and clear, lukewarm water. Apply the soap to a clean, wet sponge, then rinse well and let air dry naturally. Always try the cleaning method in a hidden area first to be sure it's colorfast. Butter, Oil, or Grease: Wipe excess butter, oil, or grease off the leather with a clean, dry cloth, then leave it alone as the spot should dissipate into the leather in a short period of time. Do not apply water to try to wash a butter, oil, or grease stain.

Never Use...

Abrasive cleanser, soap, furniture polish oil, varnish, or ammonia water. The leather has already been permanently preserved in the tanning process and needs no maintenance other than the simple cleaning recommended.

Most liquids will be initially repelled by the leather, but if left to stand over an extended period of time, they will be absorbed. This is why it's a good idea to wipe up spills immediately. If the spill is absorbed, it will dissipate over time, just as human skin will absorb and eventually diffuse stains.

Storage

Preserve the shape of your glove by using a G³ hanger. Never cover your glove in plastic - leather needs air to prevent drying out. Cover with a clean cloth sheet for seasonal storage. To avoid fading, keep your glove out of any direct lighting or sunlight.

Care when wet

Hang the glove on a G³ hanger, blot dry and then allow to finish drying at room temperature (do not use a heat source).
